In our previous blog of x2x GP- Shopify Integration we have established the concept of parent & child items and also looked into the creation of parent items. x2x Integration uses regular GP items as child items to make things easy for the end-user. Also, they are created in an identical way as items are created in GP. These items are created to act as different variants of parent items.
Create Child Items
For instance, if the Parent item is available in two different colors with the same size, then we will create two child items. Similarly, if the Parent item has two different colors and each color is available in two different sizes then we will create 4 child items accordingly.
Assign Parent Items to Child Items
x2x Integration introduces its own feature in an item card to assign a child item to a parent item. Fill in the appropriate information in each field for every item and save it, to complete the assignment process.
Upload Product to Webstore
After the assignment procedure, the product is ready to take to the web store without any additional effort. x2x Integration introduces a feature to mark products as web-enabled so they will be recognized as web store products. After uploading, the product appears in the same format as Shopify products.
